More than just a coloring book, this inspirational activity book will help you relax, unwind, and enjoy some creative fun while hiding God’s Word in your heart.
The 35 separate verses and passages are printed in colorable word art with decorative borders, blank on the back to make them easier to remove and frame or display, if desired. Each one is accompanied by two different activities or puzzles featuring the verse or key words from it.
Hide it in Your Heart is an ideal Scripture memorization aid for Christian schools, homeschool programs, Sunday schools, or your own personal use. Children and adults will enjoy learning, practicing, and meditating on these artistically presented verses from the New International Version Bible.
Proceeds from the sale of Hide it In Your Heart will be donated to www.Christar.org to help provide a translation of God’s Word for a particular people group in East Asia who do not yet have the Bible in their own language.

Hide it In Your Heart is a coloring book full of Scripture verses and puzzles. Made by Annie Douglass Lima, it contains 35 different verses and two puzzles that correspond with each verse. There are five kinds of puzzles, which are crossword puzzles, word searches, letterdrops, word scrambles, and find-a-quote puzzles. For my part, I hadn’t been familiar with the letterdrops or find-a-quote puzzles before I started this coloring book and didn’t realize until after I unsuccessfully tried to figure them out that there were instructions at the beginning of the book. Instead, I cheated by looking at the puzzle solutions at the back. Once I figured them out, all the puzzles were fun and actually helped me memorize the verses because the words in the word puzzles come directly from the verses they correspond to.
There was artwork on every page, not just on the pages with the verses, allowing us to color on the puzzle pages as well. The verses were fun to color. Even though they weren’t pictures, each one was unique in the way it was printed on the page using a variety of fonts and styles of writing, making them enjoyable to color. Because of the variety of fonts, some of them were more detailed than others, and the frames around the verses were different every time. On the back of each page with a verse was an empty page so that any ink used would not leak through the page and the verse could be removed from the book and, say, hung on the wall as a poster. The verses themselves are inspirational and uplifting, perfect for displaying, if the artist so desires.
Hide it In Your Heart is a coloring book I would recommend to adults, teens, and older children who are able to read.
I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
